Vegetarian Gravy

10 servings (1/4 cup each)

Ingredients:


1/4 cup vegan margarine
1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 cups vegetable broth
1 small onion, minced
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. salt

Melt margarine in a skillet over medium heat. Using a whisk, slowly add flour to melted butter and stir. Slowly add vegetable broth while whisking until mixture becomes smooth. Add minced onion and soy sauce. Bring to a low boil. Add poultry seasoning and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

Cook's Tips: Add 3/4 cup of sliced sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor!
